Crest Nicholson has begun preparing land owned by Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) at the Campbell Park canal-side site for an exciting development. The plans include 383 new homes – of which 115 will be affordable – a new marina, and a range of other amenities.
A canal-side pub will be created along with a new 117 berth marina which will form the start of the proposed Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Park. A new bridge will lead over the Grand Union Canal to the new residential units which will sit alongside a café, restaurant, convenience store and nursery.
Before building starts, work has to be done to prepare the site. Preparation works commenced 29th January, with the main construction works expected to begin April 2018.
Peter Cusdin, Development Director at Crest Nicholson said:
“We are proud to be involved in this exciting development which will bring more great quality housing to the area along with some the associated services and some much needed infrastructure for the Grand Union Canal. In order to begin the construction work in April, we need to prepare the land and recognise that this can cause disruption. We always work hard to minimise the disruption caused by works, but inevitably some people will be affected by this. Our Campbell Park email address – firstname.lastname@example.org – has been set up so that people can let us know about any issues or suggestions they have over the course of the works.”
